[C4D] Water Wave with Clothilde
This tutorial shows how to make "water wave" using Clothilde and interacted with an object.
I hope you find it useful!
Step 1: Create a plane object ( set width and height to 1800cm and segments to 80 > make editable) and add floor object, enter -85cm in your Y position plane for the floor in the coordinates menu.
Create a water texture (drag and drop this material onto the plane object, now in texture attribute set projection to cubic) and sand grit texture (drag and drop this material onto the floor object, now in texture attribute set projection to cubic)
Step 2: Add a Clothilde tag > cloth to the plane object, Now select the side part points the plane in point mode and click on the "Set" button the Fix-Points in the Clothilde tag. The points will show pink if all went well.
Set forces tab in cloth tag attribute like this
Now, to give the water the ripple effect, add wind in objects menu > particle > wind (set the wind speed to 2 and shape to unlimited), drag and drop the wind object to the cloth tag attribute > expert tab
Step 3: Then, we need a cube object for interacted with water wave (make editable), create a track channel for this object, like picture hereunder
Step 4: Select the cube object and add Clothilde tag > collider (set bounce to 50% and friction to 20%)
Step 5: Add the Attractor (objects menu > particle > Attractor, set strength to 200, shape to cube and Dimensions x,y,z =250cm then drag and drop the attractor object to the cloth tag attribute > expert tab), and drag the Attractor into the cube object
Note: The key is to vary the settings and dont use the exact ones I say. Also, try doing with other objects
Step 6: Press play button and render...enjoy!
Final result
