[C4D] Created a crack using dynamics
Step 1: Start a new scene and bring in a primitives cube. Bring into the scene a sphere. Move the sphere along the X-Axis, with the Model tool selected choose the move tool and drag the blue arrow. Move it to around position 750cm on the X axis.Make the cube and the sphere editable (C on the keyboard).
Step 2: Now, on the menu at the top choose Dynamics > Solver object. Move the sphere and the cube inside this object in the objects palette. In the attribute manager for the Solver object change the setting like picture hereunder
Step 3: Add Drag (Dynamics > Drag), In the attribute manager for the Solver object change the setting like picture hereunder
Step 3a: Add Gravity (Dynamics > Gravity), move the Gravity inside the sphere object in the object palette. Select The Gravity and change the setting like picture hereunder
Step 4: Now, select the cube object, within the object palette, goto Tag > Dynamics tags > Soft body Spring. Switch to the point tool then select the cube object from the object manager. Make sure you are on the selection tool and not the move tool. Now hold shift and select the point like example picture below
Step 4a: double-clicking the Soft Body Spring tag, on the menu at the Soft body Spring choose Springs > Add Soft Springs. Choose Structural Method and press the OK button
Step 4b: still in the soft Body Spring menu goto collision tab change the setting like picture below
Step 5: Then, select the sphere object, within the object palette, goto Tag > Dynamics tags > Rigid Body Dynamic. Clicking the Rigid Body Dynamic tag and change the setting Mass tab and Collision tab in the attribute manager for the Rigid Body Dynamic tag like picture hereunder
Step 6: Press play and enjoy
